SATURDAY 9th APRIL 2016 - PLANTING WILLOW CUTTINGS (REPORT BY NICHOLAS BESWICK)
The Friends met on Saturday 9 April to undertake willow planting. Cuttings were taken from the trees growing by Machine Pond and planted in the boggy depression between the two paths at the west end of the Parc. In due course they should form a willow coppice that will add to the diversity of habitats in the Parc. We also collected litter, of which there was mercifully little after last month’s Clean for the Queen.
Photos of the event were taken by Sally Morgan of Keep Wales Tidy, the album containing the eleven photos can be viewed on the KWT Flickr page by clicking on their logo.
