NOVEMBER 2018 - BIRD SURVEY BY NICHOLAS BESWICK
Winter is almost with us and our bird survey last Sunday found some of our first arrivals on Machine Pond: Wigeon, Teal, a group of five Goosander and, most unusually here, two Gadwall. Snipe are active in the muddy areas. If we are very lucky the Snipe's little brother, Jack Snipe might drop in!

Machine Pond is looking lovely with the new platforms built by our fishing club - great work!
